Chinese New Year – luck ahead

Since a few weeks, the western calendars have already arrived in the new year 2019. Now we are looking forward with our team and customers in Taiwan and Hongkong to the new year of the pig.

On 05.02.2019 the year of the pig begins in the Chinese calendar, after a fantastic year of the dog. With a 9-day celebration the new year will be duly welcomed. Of course also from our Vetica team mates in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The Chinese New Year is calculated according to the lunar calendar and falls every year on a new moon between January 21st and February 21st. The Chinese calendar knows twelve animal signs. Rat, buffalo, tiger, hare, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, cock, dog and even the pig.

The Vetica agencies in Taipei and Hong Kong are ready for the big celebrations and wish you a confident and relaxed 2019, all in the animal sign of the pig. May it be a very good year!
