The new wound therapy product from BenQ Materials Corp. is a successful example of the holistic integration of brand identity and product design by Vetica. The Anscare SIMO Vacuum Wound Therapy (NPWT) system is a compact device for accelerating wound healing.
Vetica's collaboration with Anscare began in 2016 with the re-branding of the company's identity, followed by the NPWT product design project. Based on the company's strategy, Vetica developed an intuitive and friendly design language for the future mobile product application. This resulted in an exceptional example of a holistic, integrative design strategy from branding to the design of all touchpoints to the user experience of patients.
The product with its compact form, non-slip surface and intuitive vacuum status display convinces medical specialists all over the world. Especially because patients with open wounds can be discharged from hospital earlier and costs can be massively reduced.
SIMO received the Taiwan Excellence Award at the beginning of February 2019. The product received awards from the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the areas of research and development, design, quality and marketing. The annual winners represent the highest quality and most innovative products from Taiwan.
The comments of the jury:
"Anscare SIMO is compact and trendy and improves patient mobility. Therapy can be effortlessly continued on the road or at home. This is especially important in an ageing and environmentally conscious society."
